Jolla Ltd. will co-produce the new smartphones with MeeGo


A group of former employees of Nokia and MeeGo system enthusiasts founded the company Jolla (in Finnish "boat"), which has to deal with the launch of new devices running MeeGo. The directors will Jolla jobs were specialists from Nokia and distinct community of enthusiasts gathered around the development of this system.
Jolla is not related to capital with Nokia, and its founders ensure that investors have sufficient support and capacity to create new smartphones with MeeGo.
Head of a startup is a new Marc Dillon, who worked at Nokia for 11 years and served as the chief engineer MeeGo since January 2006. The founders believe in the Finnish operating system, and they hope that they can exist in a market dominated by iOS and Android devices.
Nokia has created something wonderful - the world's best product for smartphones. He deserves it, to continue working on it and we will do it together with the talented people who cause the success of MeeGo. Together with its partners and international investors, Jolla Ltd. will design, develop and sell new smartphones based on MeeGo. Jolla team consists of many engineers and managers already working on MeeGo and is currently conducting an aggressive recruiting the best talent together to create a new generation of smartphones.
