Windows Server for home users will no longer be developed. Microsoft does not see much sense in that.
Windows Home Server has raised the market, to say the least. The best results were achieved in the market ... small and home offices, as well as among enthusiasts. It's hard to call it a commercial success. Microsoft decided to complete the development of the operating system.
What about the users who still need a simple server? Microsoft does not want to lose them to Linux. Including those proposed stripped-down version of Windows Server, which is defined as Essentials. Most elements of the Windows Home Server, including DLNA streaming media, it is integrated with Windows Server 2012 Essentials.
I guess there is nothing to regret?
